The department of defense is always looking for bilingual people. A friend of mine had a job and then... I'm not sure what happened. I'm not sure if they make good money, but you could probably find a job relatively easily.
My brother's girlfriend is studying to become a sign language interpreter, and from what I've found out from her in the past, it takes ALOT of work, and alot of education. But if you're really dedicated towards it, it's SO worth it.
My friend mansack does sign language interpretation. He lives in NYC and gets to go to neat events to interpret and he meets all kinds of celebrities and famous people. If you'd want to talk to him about it, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to do so. He's also reeeaaaaaaaaally gay and funny. His LJ is hysterical.
