Dear Library Patrons,

Please do not ask me out on dates in a creepy way. If you've just walked in, this is the first time you're seeing me, and I happen to let it slip that I'm interested in a subject you are also interested in (OMG SHARED INTEREST IT'S LIKE WE'RE SOUL MATES!!!!!!), do not immediately ask me to dinner. When I decline, do not say you'll come back on the next day I work and ask again. IT IS CREEPY.


Now, if you walk in and see me for the first time, and you want to make some non-creepy, platonic conversation, and just generally get to know me for awhile, and THEN you want to ask me out, that might be amenable. ^_~

I no longer accept dates from library patrons. The last guy who did that turned out not ONLY to be calling me from his girlfriends house-WHERE HE WAS LIVING-but she was paying the phone bill as well. Creep, creep creep.
