New Years Resolutions
Dec. 31st, 2003 11:41 amI did not make any New Years Resolutions last year, nor have I made any for several years. I didn't like them, and I never stuck to them, so I didn't really see the point. This year, I feel I have come a long way on making myself a better person, and growing into who I want to be, and I can see the value in making New Years Resolutions and making them stick. I will make them this year, and I put them out before you to keep me honest!
I did take part in the HealthyBats (Ohio Wombats health and weight loss support group) 100 workouts challenge for 2003, and although I only reached 54 workouts for the year, I'm not too disappointed. In 2002 I think I only did 5 workouts ;-p So 54 is quite an achievement, to me. I also decided in January 2003 that I wanted to lose the weight that I'd gained while being with my evil ex. I lost 30 pounds this year. I'm quite pleased with that amount ^_^ (if I haven't gained it all back this week ;-p)
Now, MY GOALS FOR 2004:
1. Workout 100 times during the year
2. Reach my goal weight of 170 pounds by December 31, 2004.
3. Practice steno for at least one hour EVERY DAY
4. Start a savings account, and put money into it (even if it's just $5) every pay period.
5. Keep my car clean
I think those are all doable. I feel good! I haven't made a New Year's Resolution in so long, because I never felt I would bother sticking with them! I think I can stick with these because I have come such a long way this year, with the help of my amazing friends. *hugs*
