Halloween and NaNoWriMo

Halloween was fun last night. I handed out candy with my mom (and resisted eating any). We had our dog, Beauji, out front with us as well, and most of the kids loved her. Some of the younger ones thought she was so cool, they were forgetting to get their candy, they were so distracted by petting her. She was happy with the attention.

After trick-or-treat ended, I called carmenvitae because I knew that she and kydyke wanted to go out on the town in their costumes. We ended up going to Yadda because they were having a party and costume contest. I was pleased that there was no cover if you were in costume ^_^ There were a LOT of good costumes there, there was one couple that was dressed like John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John from Grease, and they looked REALLY good. They sang "You're the One That I Want" on karaoke, and won the most original costume prize. We didn't win any prizes :-( But it was still a fun night of dancing. I took a few pics, I hope they turn out ^_^

I left about 1am, came home, opened Microsoft Word, and got to work on my NaNoWriMo novel. I went to bed around 3:30am with 743 words. I'll be posting excerpts and updates in the NaNo filter.

I need to eat breakfast and take a shower, because I have to get to the Repeal Article 12 Election Day Training at 2! Must...get...off...butt....

Yay for dancing and costumes! Thanks for coming out with us; I had a *great* time and can't wait to do it again soon (and this time maybe even as a WOMAN)! :)
