Just got back from the Meet 'N Greet and ....
Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves...
I stopped at Target to pick up Scarlet's Walk and a disposable camera. They were sold out of the CD so I raced to a small independent store to grab it. It's better to support the independent music stores than big corporations anyway, right?
Got downtown to the Taft Theatre about 1pm. There were only a handful of people outside waiting, so I just plopped myself down with them. One of the people waiting decided to mark everyones hand with a number. I was number 16. And we waited. And waited. And waited. More people came, and got numbers. There were about 40 people now. Then about 3pm they put the barricades up, and everyone said "screw the numbers" and ran for the barricades. So I ended up being 3-4 rows from the barricades. GRRR. I'd been there the longest and got a crappy spot?! Several of us who "played by the rules" were severely pissed.
About 3:40 Tori came out ^_^ She is SO beautiful, it just took away all the anger and fear and hate and anything negative you could have been feeling. I helped someone in the back get their Under The Pink vinyl record signed. Once people in the front got their autographs, they moved to the side enough that I was able to talk to Tori!!!! And I got her to autograph my Scarlet's Walk liner notes. And I got many many pictures, but not one with me and her. But I am VERY VERY happy ^_^ Before this the closest I had come to her was her touching my hand as she exited the theatre at the Bloomington, IN show. She wrote down song requests on her hand, and one of them was "Yes, Anastasia", which is one of my favorite songs of hers, so I really hope she does that tonight!! I'll be sure to post the full setlist later tonight.
Everyone in the house is sick now, me, mom, Andre, and Rob. BLEAH.
