Mar. 17th, 2003 02:27 amHave you ever had heartburn so bad you threw up?
Ughh :-(
I went downstairs, and the only heartburn medicine we had were these nasty chewables, I HATE chewables. So I started chewing and instantly I was over the sink vomiting.
Well, there went dinner.
Ugh, I hurt :-(
And I still have &*($@ heartburn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Date: 2003-03-17 03:40 am (UTC)I know just how you feel. I, unfortunatly, get that often. I've found the only thing that works for me is a big glass of ice cold milk.
You know, I wonder if there isn't something going around, because I've been feeling yucky, and so hasn't David. We both had stomach trouble all day yesterday. We blamed it on the Indian food they served at All Snakes, but you didn't eat that. Hmmm.... Maybe we all picked up something.
Take care!

I take 40MG of Nexium every day to help prevent it, but still almost every day. *blargh*
Honestly, you almost get used to it after about five or six years. Hell, most days I don't even really pay much attention anymore except when I start coughing on the acid and choking. That really sucks and it burns the heck out of my throat.
I know the chewables suck, but when your throat is hurting from acid burns the stuff going down actually makes it feel better.
I dunno why I wrote that gross stuff. Pardon me, I'm in a wacked mood.

Date: 2003-03-17 11:24 am (UTC)I don't know what the problem was last night. I'd had skyline, which DOES give me some gurglies, but NEVER big problems, and it was the last thing I'd eaten for the night, and I ate it around 6:30 and went to bed at 11. it just did NOT agree with me last night for some reason.
Re: chewables, I just can not take them. I can do thick chalky liquid better than chewables. It's the texture and the taste, they're almost worse than the heartburn itself.
