I am all sorts of squeeing over tonight's finale of The Amazing Race, and I haven't even see the ending yet.

They went to Paris! I <3 Paris. I was drooling over all the sights.

But then they had to go to Caen and Bayeux! HEE! Last quarter in French class we read La Vieille Dame de Bayeux, which is set in Bayeux, but la vieille dame is from Caen. I'm such a nerd that that sort of thing excites me ^_^

I still remember The Amazing Race episode where they went to Toronto. They thought the whole of Canada (and to be fair they DID just come from Quebec so they had nothing to tell them otherwise) spoke French. So they approach this cabbie to ask where the CN Tower is (proper name Le Tour de CN or something like that...) and they try to speak in French to him. He can tell they obviously don't speak French normally, so he says in fluent English "Yeah it's right over there *Points to the GIANT ASS TOWER OF DOOM*". They thank him, walk away, and the daughter says under her breath "Jackass".

Uh...YEAH. HE'S the jackass. What a piece of work.

I really (really) wanted 'Bama to win. But I knew that unless they had a big lead, it would never happen. There is always a foot race at the end. 'Bama coudn't keep up with, let alone beat, either of the other two teams in a foot race.

I am not crazy about James & Tyler (or "Zoolander", as we called them) but it's a fucking hell of a lot better than Rob & Kimberly.
