Mar. 1st, 2005 01:07 pmSo, I survived February with little damage.
I meant to do this yesterday, but oh well.
What were you doing on this day last year?
Hmmmm, I have no entries on March 1 of last year, but I DO have entries from February 29, so I'm gonna say that counts ;-p
Last year on this day I was stressing about the Clark State Math Placement tests. I was asking everyone for help on some math problems. It turned out to be completely unnecessary, because my major doesn't require any math. Oh well.

Date: 2005-03-01 08:54 pm (UTC)I was in the middle of receiving notices from the MFA/Creative Writing programmes I'd applied to. I got my rejection notice from the University of Michigan that day, and making matters worse was that they were the one school I applied to that specifically mentions gender identity in their non-discrimination clause, and yet the rejection letter was addressed to "Mr. Sean Shannon." ;_:
All in all I got turned down from six of the seven schools I applied to -- despite a 4.0 GPA and perfect scores on two of the three parts of the GRE (and getting 99th percentile on the third) and all my extracurriculars -- and the one place that accepted me, Antioch University Los Angeles, couldn't offer me any money. UT offered me free tuition and a stipend if I stayed here to get my Masters in English Literature, and, well, here I am still stuck in Toledo after all these years.
