Ugh, this weekend has been feeling like a complete WASTE.

Yesterday, I kept trying to get up and do things, and I kept falling back into bad. Damn you, comfy bed! I did go out and get my allergy shot, and then went to Media Play and used my gift card to buy the Peter Pan soundtrack. I really loved the music from this movie. It's rare that I'll buy an all instrumental movie soundtrack, that says how good this soundtrack is. It's in my car now, good traveling music. And I rented Bend it Like Beckham at the library. And that's all I did yesterday. Oy.

Today the family went out to brunch at the Grand Finale (voted best brunch in the city). My dad goes back to Columbus tonight, so it was our last time together as a family for awhile. Yummy food. Mmmmm...belgian waffles...chocolate mousse...cinnamon rolls. ^_^

Came home, and was again feeling very unproductive. So I turned on the music! I've been cleaning for as long as a song lasts. Song over, come play for a little bit. Select new song. Clean until song ends. So far, I've got a load of laundry in the washer, I've picked out clothes for the first day of winter quarter tomorrow and layed them out, I've cleaned the cat litter, and you can actually see part of my floor. Amazing.

Oy, school tomorrow. Vacations are so short! Now I've got 12 more weeks of The Grind. *sigh*

Me too -- it's a neat movie, and I have lots more respect for Keira Knightley now. (She was good in Pirates of the Caribbean, but I didn't think much of the movie, so she didn't stick out too much in my mind.) I had a lot of empathy moments that were very similar to what I've experienced growing up as a first-generation Asian American.

I liked it enough to make a DVD rip before returning it to the video store, too.

using music as your "timer" is ingenius!! i love it! glad you're making progress, too. my back room is full o'stuff now (but my car is in the garage!!), so i've gotta bust butt to get things looking presentable for Saturday!

oh, let me know if Bend it Like Beckham would be a good addition to our movie selections for Saturday. i havne't seen it yet (of course!)
