pennywhistleAs a lot of you know, I've been working with the Campaign to Repeal Article 12 here in Cincinnati. To quote, "Article XII is an anti-gay law that unfairly singles out gay people in Cincinnati and prohibits them from seeking protection against discrimination."
The Campaign has just moved into new larger headquarters and are celebrating with an Open House on Wednesday from 6-9.
I was going to try and make it, but my plans changed from a "maybe" to a "definetly!" when I got an email and a phone call this evening! One of their top leaders had been surfing the web looking for Article 12 sites, and came across the recap I wrote about my experience doing a neighborhood canvass for signatures back in August.
He said he "was really amazed by your very well-written and passionate article about your canvassing experience. We liked it so much that we want to use it for promotional purposes, website, literature, etc. With your permission of course! The first thing we'd like to do is use your testimonial at our new office open house on Wednesday in a blown-up poster of what Ive attached as a word document."
So I'll be a star on Wednesday! ^_~ LOL. Just more incentive for you all to come out and show your support.
