Mar. 2nd, 2004

Ugh, I don't know WHY I am awake. I got up at 1:30am to let the dogs out, and then I couldn't get back to sleep. I tossed and turned until about 3:30, then said screw it and got out of bed. But i was up at 4:30am yesterday, so you would think I'd be tired!

I drove ALL OVER Ohio yesterday. Last Friday the Academy (my old school) called me and said "Uh, we thought you were going to come back for two more days so your financial aid would kick in?" And I said, "Well, that was the plan on the 15th when I talked to you, but then on the 16th I was told I needed surgery on the 17th, and that turned into another surgery on the 19th, and by then I'd missed so many classes I figured it was too late." And they told me that if I just came in for two days, for just an hour, that it would count, and they'd give me my financial aid refund check. Being a whore for money, I agreed.

So yesterday I woke up at 4:30, left Beavercreek about 5:15, got to TriCounty right about 6, worked for an hour, then drove to downtown Cincinnati for school. It was nice to see my school friends again. English teacher is still an ass. At 1 hour exactly, I packed up and left, drove back to TriCounty, worked 3 more hours, drove back to Beavercreek, let the dogs out, spent a little time with them and studied math a little more, then drove out to Springfield to take the placement test and register for classes.

I did very very well on the reading and writing portions of the placement tests, but I was expecting that ^_~. Pre-algebra I did well on, algebra not as well ;-p But I got all the FOIL questions right! Even the ones where you had to do it backwards! So thank you all ^_^

When I went to register, I found that the english class I took at IU counts as the E111 here at Clark state, so fortunetly I don't have to repeat that. The two supplemental classes I really wanted were full, so I had to scramble to fill my schedule with 12 credit hours (Registration opened last Monday, but I was still too sick then).

Here is my schedule for Spring:

Monday
Introduction to Theatre 2pm - 3:50pm

Tuesday
Beginning Speedbuilding (steno) 8:30am - 10:20am
Realtime Transcription 12pm - 1:50pm

Thursday

Friday

So, class everyday, YUCK. But I'm coming into the program in the middle of the year, so I have to make due. I'm just SO SO thrilled to be at a REAL college!! ^_^
