Recommend a book to me please.

I need audiobooks. I'm out of ideas. I've got Harry Potter, Diana Gabaldon, Stephen King, and some ghost stories.

Now you recommend some books to me.

Thank you ^_^

BESIDES the Lord of the Rings series!

You seem to like a lot of the books I like. Diana Gabaldon has this section on her website of authors you should check out. One listed was Laurell K. Hamilton. I love her books. One series is a vampire hunter series but she doesn't really hunt vampires. It's a little difficult to explain. lol The other series is about fairies and fey people. Let me know if you want more info about them! :) I could even let you borrow the books since we are in the same city!!

hmm.... only audio?

I just read the Life of Pi (Angie recommended it) and I LOVED it. I'm currently reading A Game of Thrones and I love it too... looks like i am hooked on another series.

Hmm... How about a classic book? Maybe something like the 3 muskateers? I loved it when I read it a few years ago...

First off, If you haven't read any of the Francesca Lia Block books, and if you can get those in audio, PLEEEEEEASE do. They are SO good. Also, any of the Guenevere books by Rosalind Miles.

And second, I lurve your new icon!

I know you've read it but Mists of Avalon is a great audio book.

I highly recommend any book by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, especially "Sister of my Heart." She writes about Indian/Hindu women, and some of her stories take place in India, others in the States. But they're always powerful, and always touching in some way. Amazon has lots of her titles in audio books. The only two I haven't read by her are "Neela" and "The Conch Bearer" (the latter isn't even out yet), but I can't recommend the rest enough. :-)

Well... one of the best audio books I ever listened to was "The Oath" by Frank Peretti. I listened to it on vacation, and it's stuck with me since. It takes place in a tiny logging / mining town in the mountains. It's vaguely Christian-themed, but that doesn't make it any less AWESOME. I'm uncomfortable with religion, as a rule, but I LOVE this book. ^^;;; Just a suggestion.
