My lit professor mentioned to us in class today a grant available to students who are going abroad sometime before June 2008. As I am planning to go to Paris in June 2008, I was very interested in what he had to say.

He said the only qualifications were that you had to have at least a 3.5 GPA and you had to plan to be enrolled at WSU for at least two quarters after the trip.

NO PROBLEM! I have a 4.0 GPA which I have no intention of letting drop, and my expected graduation date isn't until 2010. $1000 towards my Paris trip! That's almost half of what it costs!!!

I looked up the details online when I got home. There's one small detail he forgot. You can't have earned more than 90 semester credit hours total; transfer or otherwise. I have 155 credit hours total.

Damn.

That got me thinking.

I have 155 credit hours. Not counting the 16 I'm taking this quarter. Eventually financial aid will cap you out and cut you off. [livejournal.com profile] athanasios, what's the cutoff for that again? Because I'm getting scared.

I just put reserves on several books on finding scholarships. I need scholarships like WOAH.

I think it's 250. I'll have him post when he's awake again. :-)

I am so going to Paris with you. I am. My GPA is good enough to get scholarships now (thank the Gods), and I WILL get some. Oh yes, I will.
